There a few helpful wedding tips buried in the 382 pages of good form and courtesy-one subject being the wedding gift… and because we know that it’s not just the bride and groom checking out the Swish List for wedding tips and inspiration, here’s a little advice for friend’s and family about the wedding gift. 

It is getting tougher to pick out the perfect gift for the couple and if you’re lucky, the couple has registered at a few stores and you can choose from their wish list.  Lucia writes that it’s important to keep it neutral and offers some brilliant gift ideas:
-a case of fine wine {you have your choice of fine wineries in Niagara! }
-His and Hers plain white bathrobes, beautiful thick white towels…
-an espresso machine
-a fantastic set of kitchen knives from Williams Sonoma

And a few gift ideas that say ‘Niagara’:
-tickets to the Shaw Festival and dinner out
-if you’re buying for ‘foodies’, a gift certificate to a cooking class
-You could gift a couple’s massage-we have so many beautiful spas in the region…

It’s the first impression that you will give your guests.  It reflects the style of your wedding.  Your invitation will dictate to your friends and family whether it is a sundress and khakis event or a ballroom gown and black tie affair.  There are so many ways to ‘do’ invitations-be creative with it!  It is your party after all!
