From the moment we saw these images, we knew that we just HAD to share them with you!
This is one seriously amazing photo set sent to us by the ridiculously talented team of Niagara wedding photographers at Stec Photo Boutique Wedding Studio. We love all the multi-cultural details that were captured in these images ... they tell the whole love story in all it’s harmony and celebration of diversity.
The cultural significance of both of their backgrounds (India + Scotland) was high on the couples’ list of priorities and as such, they celebrated two wedding ceremonies! First, a traditional Sikh ceremony near Toronto followed later in the day by a Protestant wedding ceremony just across the Lake in Niagara on the Lake ... both on the same day!
How did they do this you ask? Simple! They used a helicopter for quick transport across Lake Ontario ... of course!
An evening dinner reception followed at Queen’s Landing in Niagara on the Lake. We hear that the meal was absolutely amazing, featuring all kinds of traditional Indian gastronomical delights like ... Butter Chicken!

From the photographers ....
This had to be one of the most unique weddings we’ve done in years! With such varied cultural backgrounds like Scottish and Sikh, we thought we’d be in for a treat ... but it was even better than we expected! Victoria and Parbal had a Sikh ceremony in Brampton and a Protestant wedding ceremony later in the heart of Niagara on the Lake ... this wedding wins the prize for most unique ‘stuff’ going on.
Both the bride and groom changed several times with a variety of great outfits ... and Parbal even shaved for the last part of the evening ... we totally didn’t recognize him!
Wedding Venue: Queen’s Landing, Niagara on the Lake, Ontario

Claire + Scott were married on a warm summer afternoon on the shores of Niagara’s Crystal beach, just south of Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. Their outdoor beach wedding ceremony and reception took place on the grounds of the family cottage and was filled with all the warmth, charm and elegance of seaside affair in southern Niagara.
We just love it when our Swish Niagara wedding photographers are bursting to share their pics and stories with us ... we ♥ a great love story! So, here is Claire + Scott’s wedding story in the photographers words ...
“I don’t know if it’s the couple ... is that why I loved this wedding? Maybe it’s the heart ... a whole lotta heart! Great couple. Loved them. We flew to NYC for their e-session in Central Park earlier in the season and had a blast!”
“This wedding ... it was a fairy-tale wedding that reminded me of a movie. The atmosphere ... a casual, yet elegant feel. The best friends from college flew in. The scrapbook they made for her. The heirloom necklace created by grandpa. The live band. The chairs set out on the beach for the bonfire. The magician they hired to entertain the kids. The smell of the popcorn maker after the dance started. The lanterns and homemade cupcakes. Every toast that was made ... it just wrecked me.”
The gorgeous and delectable reception dinner was produced by local Niagara wedding caterer and Swish List Member, Kristin, of Kristin’s Event Creation & Catering!

So I knew right away I didn’t want a ‘typical’ wedding or to be a ‘typical’ blushing bride.
I wanted to look like a rockstar! I wanted to look bold and beautiful and I wanted to stand out on my wedding day. To look like I belonged in the pages of a high fashion magazine. I wanted people to gasp when I walked into the Carriage House at Vineland Estates Winery!
I’ve always been the girl with the dramatic flair and I didn’t want to sacrifice it on my wedding day in favour of traditional pastels and pale shimmers. Not that there’s anything wrong with that - but come on, if I’m only going to do this once, I wanted to make it vibrant, memorable, and reflective of me!
And that’s where Lisa and Bridal Beauty Mobile Artistry Group came in.
I sat down with her for a consultation, showed her the fascinator I’d had designed by Sara Duke and described the vintage-inspired bridal gown I was having made by Megan Woods. I told her I was wearing sky-high purple peep-toes and loved Gwen Stefani’s updated old-Hollywood glamour, and Lisa did the rest.
She did it. She made me look like a rockstar. And my photographs look like Vanity Fair, or Italian Vogue, or something just as hot!
I had red lips and flawless skin, and Lisa worked wonders with my not-quite-shoulder-length hair, working it into an architectural updo that screamed Jean Harlow.
What was really fantastic is Lisa took what I wanted and made it very “me”...the hair and makeup could have been overkill; it could have looked like a costume. But because of Lisa’s commitment to making each bride feel like a million dollars, the look did not wear me, I wore the look!
People did gasp. They said they’d never seen a bride look like I did, and they loved all the saucy details: red lips. Purple underskirt. Feathers. Eyelashes a mile long.
What Lisa did on my wedding day wasn’t just about making me look like a starlet – the edgy beauty she brought out in me gave me the confidence to pose, to strut, and to glow with a radiance that was only partly the makeup!
